Inner Northern Psychology offers high-quality psychological support at an affordable rate through our low-cost service, delivered by provisional psychologists. Services are provided at a flat rate ($90 or $110) without requiring a mental health care plan.

As an active teaching clinic, we are committed to supporting the next generation of mental health professionals as they complete their professional training.

Under the close supervision of clinic director and board-approved supervisor, Dr Kirk Ratcliff, our provisional psychologists provide compassionate, evidence-based support for a range of mental health concerns. This service aims to make psychological care more accessible by reducing cost as a barrier to receiving support.

What is a provisional psychologist?

A provisional psychologist is someone who has completed or is completing their university training in psychology and is undertaking the final stage of supervised professional training required to become a generally registered psychologist.

Choosing to see a provisional psychologist can be a great option for accessing high-quality, evidence-based psychological support at a more affordable fee. They are trained in contemporary psychological approaches and receive regular supervision, meaning your care benefits from both their dedicated support and the guidance of an experienced psychologist. Like registered psychologists, provisional psychologists are required to meet professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards when providing psychological services.
